well you should tell your lover if the secret effects your relationship in some way..When? You're the only one who has the answer to that one.
I'm with lj... if I feel the need to share, I will. But for the most part, secrets I have will be kept to the grave.
Its totally up to you. Sometimes a secret, if done porperly, should remain a secret. If you just have to tell your lover, then you have to pick a time when you know your lover is a proper position to handle your secret. Dont just spill it and hope for the best, because you'll be the one who gets splashed
